I’m Chris. I’m in my early mid twenties. I was born and raised in Boston, although I spend time in many different cities around the globe. Really, what else could matter? You want a few more details? Fine…
Many friends insist I look exactly like this guy, complete with the hand on my chin thinking man’s pose made so famous by Rodin:

Appropriately enough, I do spent a lot of time thinking. Thinking about life, love, politics, and of course, who the Red Sox are hitting in the number 2 spot for tonight’s game. Some might say I think too much, but it hasn’t bit me in the ass too many times. Yet. Anyways, some other things I might occassionally be thinking about…
Music, particularly anything by: The Killers, Fall Out Boy, The Roots, Less than Jake, Outkast, Coheed and Cambria, All-American Rejects, Neutral Milk Hotel, Weezer, Tupac, Dave Matthews, My Chemical Romance, OAR, Jurassic 5, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snow Patrol, Kayne West, N*E*R*D, Rooney, The Streets, 50 Cent, Death Cab for Cutie, Jay-Z, Dashboard, U2, MXPX, Radiohead, Beastie Boys, Unwritten Law, Saves the Day, Jack Johnson, Something Corporate, Stephen Kellogg, Barenaked Ladies, Wilco, and others.
Books. Just about any book. The written word is fabulous. Some favorites: The Things They Carried, A Farewell to Arms, Amazing Grace, There Are No Children Here, The Greatest Generation, The DaVinci Code, The Rule of Four, Angels and Demons, Atlas Shrugged, The Stranger, Death of A Salesman, The Torrents of Spring, Much Ado About Nothing, A Short History of Nearly Everything, The Perfectionist, The Know-it-All, The Secret Histories, and The Fountainhead, again, among others.
Not so much into TV unless Jack Bauer or the Red Sox are on. So how else do I pass my time other than burying myself in books or listening to music? I’m glad you asked…
I enjoy traveling. Among other places, there is London Paris Salzburg Le Havre Oxford Brugges Rome Bilbao Bordeaux Saint Emilion San Sebastian Amsterdam Prague Siena Berlin Florence Normandy Barcelona Biarritz Brussels Venice Pamplona Bratislava and Budapest.
I like to write; everything from essays to memoirs to travelogues. I am known to have my opinion published in my school newspaper every other week, the production of which probably makes me as many enemies as it does friends. Such is life.
I have been known to occasionally sip a bit from an adult beverage. Gin and tonics, beers, white wine, maybe even shots, depending on my mood – always socially, of course.
I follow Boston sports religiously, which is odd, or perhaps appropriate, since my religious beliefs are very much up in the air right now. I have broken off relationships over the Sox, and it’s for certain I will be snagging some sweet seats for the Celtics this season (as usual) unless the rich bandwagon hacks start returning to the TD North Garden and pricing me out the way they’ve done with the Pats and Sox.
I’m definitely not bitter, cynical, or sarcastic, ever.
In a few months I will decamp to Prague for a year or two for the beginnings of the rest of my life. In the meantime, if you want to get to know me a little better, read the blog – I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.

You’re precious. I’ve been reading your blog for a while now, and just noticed that, if we were to make a Venn Diagram of our musical and literary interests, there’d be quite a bit of overlapping.
Be well. Go sawx.
Arsenal and Liverpool yesterday in a draw, meaning the Gooners are in first and Tottenham Hotspur runs the risk of being banished back down to the championship league.
I’m a West Ham United girl myself (dodgy American keeper, bloodlust, the whole thing) but I’ve got a soft spot for Arsenal and Chelsea as well. I’m recognizing that you can probably appreciate the similarities between football hooliganism and red sox fans. Sweet Caroline? It’s like hearing Liverpool sing “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
